What is We Connect?
We Connect is an app that helps people independently find the right support workers for their needs, directly and easily. We’re all about making it simple to connect with local support workers who match your lifestyle and preferences. Support workers create detailed profiles, listing their skills, qualifications, and experience, so you can find the right fit for you.
How is We Connect different from other platforms?
We Connect is designed to give you more control and flexibility when it comes to finding support. You can find the exact care you need, when you need it. Plus, we’re proud to say that any profit we make goes back to Spinal Life Australia, a not-for-profit that has been supporting and advocating for people with disabilities for decades.
How much does it cost to use We Connect?
Signing up to We Connect is completely free for both customers looking for support and independent support workers. Once you’re signed up, you can start connecting right away.
Independent support workers set their own rates, and will provide these to you prior to booking, so you can choose the worker and rate that best suits your needs. All bookings are made directly between customers and workers.
After a service is booked, We Connect takes care of invoicing and payments. Customers pay the agreed rate plus a 5% service fee, while workers receive the agreed rate minus a 10% platform fee. Fees only apply once services are booked and delivered.
Is We Connect safe to use?
Your safety and peace of mind are our top priority. Every support worker on We Connect goes through a thorough onboarding process. This includes verifying their qualifications, conducting national police checks, and ensuring they are equipped to provide any higher-level care, such as personal care or nursing.
Additionally, all support workers on We Connect are covered by comprehensive insurance, giving you even more peace of mind. You can learn more about our safety and privacy measures here.

We make it easy for you to track and manage all payments through the app.
